Sometimes Our Lord chooses and uses certain people as instruments of his special gifts and blessings. Father John A. Lubey was one such person--having received the Gift of Healing from Our Lord in 1972. Father Lubey was a Roman Catholic priest in the Archdiocese of Washington, DC from 1943 to 1999.
Two books have been written that offer, not only the story of how his Gift of Healing was given him, but also stories written by the people who received healings through Father Lubey's blessings. Father never claimed he had the ability to perform miracles. Instead he attributed all the spiritual, emotional and physical healings to God. In the Name Of Jesus, Be Healed and In the Name of Jesus, Be at Peace also offer excerpts from one of his retreats, healing prayers, meditations , and pictures of one of God's beloved servants.
O Heavenly Father, I thank you for the gift of your love. I thank you for giving Fr. Lubey to us as your priest and servant. He faithfully fulfilled and obeyed your command to love one another and brought healing to the lives of many, through their beliefs in you. I now pray, Father, that you would listen to the petitions that I now ask through Fr. Lubey's intercession, and if it be your holy will, please grant them. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
