What options does The Calligraphy Lady® Studio offer?

Our Studio provides handwritten calligraphy invitations and calligraphy services for envelopes, programs, menus, monograms, place cards, escort cards, table cards, stationery, corporate business needs and more.

Our studio provides everything from start to finish: your calligraphy, invitation design, online proofs, stationery and printing in various methods: thermography, flat print, letterpress or engraving. We offer the finest papers in a large selection. We work closely with clients throughout the entire process. The result is the perfect invitation set and stationery wardrobe -- couture!

The Calligraphy Lady® Studio also offers corporate envelope addressing, hand lettering for logos, headlines, graphic designs, advertising, brand identities, taglines, editorials, greeting cards, whimsical and brush illustrations, and more. Dayna has developed a unique collection of lettering styles and has worked with many notable clients.

The Calligraphy Lady® also offers popular designer invitations and computer calligraphy for envelopes.

How do I order calligraphy invitations which are hand lettered and/or custom calligraphy items?

We have worked with clients from all 50 states such as New York, California, Texas, Georgia, Hawaii, Portland Oregon, Chicago Illinois, and even as far away as Indonesia, Germany and England! Although we may be long-distance for you, we work very closely with our clients over the phone, email and internet. We give special attention to every client. We carefully inspect every finished order and ship insured. And we make you feel as though you are -- our only client!

Do you provide samples of hand calligraphy?

Due to the high demand for Dayna's work, she no longer supplies samples of hand calligraphy. However, upon a deposit for an order for handwritten calligraphy invitations, Dayna will send a media kit to you. The kit includes calligraphy invitations, a style sheet and an envelope addressed to you in her lovely script.

Do some hand calligraphy lettering styles cost more than other scripts?

All of our hand lettered scripts, with exception of Dayna's Caroline flourishing, are the same price for invitations, envelopes, stationery, favors, projects. For Caroline flourishing there is an additional charge. To request pricing, email Dayna.

Are the names of your hand lettered fonts historical calligraphy names?

The names of some of our hand lettered fonts are simply fun creative names which Dayna created and trademarked. For example, Romantic and Romantic Caroline are names which Dayna penned. All of her lettering styles are uniquely her own handwriting.

Do you hand address envelopes supplied by customers who have purchased their invitations/envelopes from another vendor?

No. At this time, our studio only addresses envelopes which we supply and which accompany our hand lettered invitation sets.

However, we do offer computer calligraphy envelope addressing to all clients who contact us, if we have availability.

What does a hand calligraphy invitation set include?

A set includes: invitation, back flap of outer envelope, reception card (optional), reply card set, inner/outer envelopes. Our prices vary, because our work is custom.

Our prices include calligraphy, online proofs, invitation design, stationery and printing. We also assemble each set and check our envelope addressing carefully for you. We do not supply postage. We ship our sets via FedEx ground insured for free. And there is no sales tax on our handwritten sets and services for non-Missouri residents.

Can you tell me more about the hand calligraphy invitation process?

We work very closely with clients to create the perfect custom wedding invitation and stationery wardrobe. This is true of any project that you hire us to do. When you secure your order with a 50% deposit on hand calligraphy invitations, we will send you a media kit of invitations and samples. This will be the starting point of the invitation process. The kit will help you to decide which lettering style, paper and print option you would like for your invitations and stationery trousseau. Upon receiving your kit, Dayna will discuss with you - your personal preferences. Every bride wishes for her invitation and stationery to be unique; and we deliver! We provide online proofs of your hand calligraphy invitations and stationery projects. Once we receive your approval, we will print your sets (in either engraving, flat, thermography, or letterpress) on the custom stationery which we provide. Sales tax only applies to MO residents, and we offer free shipping with insurance via FedEx ground for calligraphy invitation orders. We package your shipment very carefully.

How long does the design process take for hand lettering of invitations, envelopes, stationery such as menus, programs, escort and table cards?

The length of the design process varies. For hand calligraphy invitations the process may take 2 to 6 weeks depending upon calligraphy lettering choice, paper and printing choice. For example, engraving and letterpress may take longer. In addition, envelope addressing takes up to 2 weeks. Rush service is available for an additional charge.

Do you take phone calls?

Yes, we do answer our phone and we enjoy speaking with our clients! However, we are not always able to answer the phone. This is because Dayna is busy working on her hand calligraphy projects, consulting with new clients, making sure all orders are printed to her high standards, assembling invitations, checking finished envelope addresses, packing orders for shipment, and the list continues. We can always be reached by email which allows us to answer your questions any time. Unfortunately, however, we are only able to fill a certain number of orders each month. Your request may not be answered, if we are unable to fill your order. Thank you for understanding.

Can I add other elements to my package?

Yes, your stationery will coordinate beautifully -- from your invitations to your menu to your place cards. And we will assist you with your designs and theme. We have many unique ideas for the design process. The Calligraphy Lady® Studio will create many items to coordinate with your invitation package, including the following:

Do you offer thermography, letterpress, engraved, flat printing for calligraphy invitations and accessories?

Yes!

If I have you do my place cards in hand calligraphy, will you sell me the place cards as well?

Yes. We sell all types of stationery, and we encourage you to buy our excellent stationery. We know which paper is best and what is most calligraphy-friendly. We do not use or recommend poor quality, low pound/weight papers.

Do your calligraphy invitations come fully assembled?

Your calligraphy invitations arrive to your home -- fully-assembled and checked. You just need to apply postage and take a trip to the post office to send them on their way. We also offer concierge service - we will stuff, apply postage an mail envelope sets for you at an additional charge per set. This is a great service for the busy bride!

Once you decide to use The Calligraphy Lady® for your hand lettered calligraphy invitation sets we require a 50% deposit ($100 non-refundable) of your quoted price. Once the deposit is received, your media kit is mailed to you. We await your preferences. You send us your invitation wording. We can assist you with this. Then your custom invitation design begins. You will then have access to a personal web page for you to view your complete invitation set. This online proof process also applies to other calligraphy projects. The remainder of your balance is due prior to shipping.

The Calligraphy Lady® Studio accepts checks, money orders, and credit cards via Paypal for calligraphy invitations and services.
